Carol Adkins - Chemical Engineering '81
Carol oversees solar, wind, hydro, grid, nuclear, and fossil energy programs for the Department of Energy honored with the Women Worth Watching in STEM award, presented by Profiles in Diversity Journal. Honorees were profiled in a special STEM edition of the journal. bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from UNM in 1981 and received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the School in 2015. She earned a doctorate in chemical engineering from the California Institute of Technology. Adkins also serves as Chair of the UNM Chemical and Biological Advisory Council
