Fan awarded the Fred Kavli Distinguished Lectureship

Hongyou Fan is a distinguished member of the technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories and a research professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at The University of New Mexico. He received a B.S. degree in 1990 with a chemistry major from Jilin University, China, an M.S. degree in 1995 from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in polymer chemistry and physics, and a Ph.D. degree in 2000 from The University of New Mexico in the field of nanoporous materials and composites. His current research focuses on the development of new synthesis methods and self-assembly processes to fabricate multifunctional nanomaterials for applications in nanoelectronics, photonics and energy storage. read more
